Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Belgium”
The Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Belgium” has been in operation since June 1999. During the period of the Society’s activity, its members carried out certain work. On its results in 2016-2017 at the general meeting of the Society, held on May 4, 2017, reported the executive director Saidov.
At the meeting a new membership of the members of the Society was approved, members of the Management Board and the Audit Commission were elected, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B.Alikhanov, was elected Chairman of the Board, the executive director is Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Central Kengash of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan S.Sanginov.
Members of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, famous scientists, cultural and art figures, representatives of public organizations, having experience working with scientific centers, educational institutions and cultural institutions of Belgium, such as people’s artists of Uzbekistan M.Yulchieva and R.B.Usmanov, senators I.Mirzaaliev and Z.M.Nizamkhodjaev, academician T.D.Radjabov, professors R.Murtazaeva, N.Khabibullaev, U.Kamilova and other.
The meeting considered the draft “Work Plan of the Society” Uzbekistan-Belgium for 2017″, during the discussion of which each of the members of the Society were given specific proposals on its expansion. After finalizing, taking into account the proposals of the members of the Society, the “Uzbekistan-Belgium Work Plan for 2017” was approved and sent out to all members of the Society for leadership and execution.
The protocol and work plan are sent to the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The committee has established regular contacts and sent letters requesting assistance in working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Belgium on the organization of the Friendship Society “Belgium-Uzbekistan”, as well as in carrying out in accordance with paragraph 10 of the Society’s work plan for 2017 year of the festive event dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Belgian partner society in Tashkent or in Brussels.
In accordance with clause 4 of the Plan, a Society page was created on Facebook “Uzbekistan-Belgium Friendship Society”, which regularly contains information on the activities of the Society and other important public and political events.
During the reporting period, the members of the Society participated in a number of international and republican conferences, seminars and other events dedicated to the development of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with other states, strengthening ties with foreign countries and international organizations:
On May 31, the Society members took part in the opening of the Ecological Week, held in early June in honor of World Environment Day jointly by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection, the Ecomovement, the United Nations Development Program and other organizations;
On June 2, the Society members took part in a celebration dedicated to World Environment Day, organized by the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan jointly with partners, in which the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of Malaysia, the Republic of Kazakhstan and employees of the embassies of the United States, Russia, the Republic of Korea, the People’s Republic of China, and about. UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan, representatives of a number of international organizations (OSCE, GIZ, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia Global Water Partnership of Central Asia and Caucasus, etc.), international projects, ministries, departments, public organizations, the media;
On June 5-7, the Society members took part in the Central Asian Ecological Forum held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan; at the plenary and sectional meetings, B. Alikhanov and S. Sanginov made presentations and reports;
June 24, July 17 and August 10 there were working meetings in which the members of the Society B.Alikhanov, A.Musayev, S.Sanginov, M.Dadakhodzhaeva, N.Habibullaev, S.Aliyeva, R.Murtazaeva, R.Usmonov, I. Ismoilov, M. Dadakhodjaev; members of the Audit Commission A. Khudaiberdiev and O.Rakhimov, accountant N. Zhumakulov, as well as deputy director of the Museum of Temurids S. Ulzhabaev, employees of the Fund of Amir Temur M. Abdullaev, D. Kurbonov, representative of the National Agency “Uzbekkino” A. Batreeva. The issues of the implementation of points 14, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24 of the Work Plan for 2017 were discussed. On August 10, Z.Abidov also participated in the meeting (Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan). He made a number of recommendations on how to solve organizational problems of the preparation and holding of the activities of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Belgium”, dedicated to the 26th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium and State Committee for Tourism.
On July 21, on the day of the 186th anniversary of the formation of Belgium, a congratulation was sent to the Belgian people on the national holiday of the Kingdom of Belgium on behalf of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Belgium” through the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries and the Foreign Ministry to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium. Congratulations are also posted on the Society page on Facebook and on the websites of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan and the Ecoforum of the NGO of Uzbekistan;
On August 24-25, the chairman of the Society is B.Alikhanov took part as head of the delegation at the International Forum on the Conservation of the Snow Leopard and Its Ecosystems (“Forum 2017”) in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, where he made a report. Following the results of the International Forum, taking into account the proposal of the Uzbek side, the “Bishkek Declaration – 2017: Taking Care of the Snow Leopard and the Mountains – Our Ecological Future was adopted”.
On August 27 to September 2, the Chairman of the Society B. Alikhanov took part as the head of the delegation in the World Water Week on the topic: “Water and waste – reducing consumption and re-use”, where he informed the participants of the event about the negative consequences of the drying out of the Aral Sea, on measures taken by Uzbekistan to mitigate the consequences of the Aral problem, reducing the impact of the crisis on the environment and improving the livelihoods of the population of the Aral Sea region, affected by an ecological catastrophe, the implementation of a policy on the rational use of water resources.
On September 20, a package of materials on the activities of the Company was prepared and submitted to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium for distribution to participants in the conference in Brussels, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as the reception in honor of the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On September 25, the Chairman of the Society B.Alikhanov accompanied the delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by K.Tokayev, the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on a trip to Samarkand.
On September 26, the Chairman of the Society B.Alikhanov took part in the meeting in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis N.Ismayilov with the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev.
On September 27, the Chairman of the Society B.Alikhanov took part in the meeting with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev with the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev.
On October 23-24, the Society members participated in an international roundtable on “Modern technologies in the management of solid domestic waste: legal, technical and investment solutions”, where they made presentations. Their proposals are reflected in the final documents of the forum.
On November 2 in the State Museum of History of Temurids, the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Belgium” organized a photo exhibition, dedicated to the history, national traditions, historical sites, culture and art of Belgium. At the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition, the winners of the contest “Did You Know Belgium?” Took place, in which the students of the senior classes of the schools of Tashkent took part.
On December 4-11, the member of the Society R. Murtazaeva participated in the study tour of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Belgium, where she informed representatives of Belgian organizations about the activities of the Society, held in Uzbekistan on work to strengthen interethnic relations and prospects for the development of ties between public organizations of the two countries.
Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Greece”
The friendship society “Uzbekistan-Greece” was established in November 1999. The main goal of the society is the development of friendly and cultural-educational relations between Uzbekistan and Greece.
Since November 1999, academician Ashurov Mukhsin Khurramovich, the General Director of the scientific-production association “PHONON” was elected as the Chairman of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Greece”.
The main objectives of “Uzbekistan-Greece” Friendship Society are as follows:
– establishment of cultural, educational and friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Greece;
– cooperation with state organizations in the implementation of a permanent information exchange on international, scientific and cultural relations;
– creation of informational and reference funds about the Republic of Uzbekistan, implementation of conferences, symposiums, workshops on issues of cultural and educational relations;
– familiarisation of the Greek society with the achievements of Uzbekistan in the field of culture, art, science and education;
– organisation and demonstrations of performance ensemble or individual performers, showing national films, exhibitions of visual and folk art in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in Greece;
– strengthening ties with Greek citizens living in our country, and promoting cooperation with our compatriots living in Greece;
– attracting Greek investors to Uzbekistan, international funds and public associations in order to implement programs, projects and orders aimed to developing of cultural and educational relations.
Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Poland”
Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Poland” was established and registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on October 15, 1998 in Tashkent. The society is a voluntary, self-governing, non-governmental republican public association organized to develop cultural and educational ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Poland. It promotes familiarizing a wide range of people with the rich cultural heritage of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Poland. The objectives of the Society: information exchange, creation of information and reference funds and data banks about our country, holding conferences, roundtables, training seminars, acquaintance of the Polish people with the achievements of Uzbekistan in the field of culture, art, science and education, the organization of concerts, television and film screenings, exhibitions, complex events dedicated to the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Poland. Partners of the Company The Society works in close contact with the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Polish Cultural Center “Svetlitsa Polska”. At present, the cultural aspect is of great importance for the expansion and strengthening of cooperation between countries. Spiritual communication, interconnection of cultures, improvement of information exchange – all this creates an atmosphere of trust, mutual understanding and lasting peace. This is promoted by the activities of the society aimed at acquaintance with the cultural traditions and customs of two peoples: holding national holidays of Uzbekistan and Poland; the organization of concerts of classical music performed by Uzbek and Polish masters; conducting seminars-trainings on various socio-political topics, conferences, round tables; thematic quizzes; photo exhibitions; competitions; assistance to both groups and individuals from Poland; participation in events held by the Council of Friendship Societies and cultural and educational contacts of Uzbekistan with foreign countries, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tashkent. 28.04.2017. in accordance with the requirements of Section 5 of the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy for the Five Priority Areas of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a Round Table was held on the theme: “Human Interests as the Highest Value” in conjunction with the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries, the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan- France “and” Uzbekistan-Switzerland “.
Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-China”
“Uzbekistan-China” Friendship Society was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, which issued a certificate from 27 November 1998.
The Society was established to develop cultural and educational relations between people of Uzbekistan and China. It is self-governed and non-governmental voluntary-public organization.
One of the key priorities of the society is to develop friendship and cooperation, as well as strengthen cultural-enlightenment relations between Uzbekistan and China.
The society also helps to form objective view about Uzbekistan in China as sovereign, democratic-legal state and active partner with fast-growing economy and huge cultural and scientific potential.
The activities of the society also focus on developing international contacts on humanitarian, scientific-technical, cultural and partnership relations between cities and territories of Uzbekistan and China in cooperation with the government, local administrations and other organizations.
The society also helps to attract foreign investors, international funds and public organizations to implementation of programs, projects and orders, directed at developing cultural-enlightenment relations.

“Uzbekistan- Egypt” Friendship Society was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, which issued a certificate No. 356 from 28 January 1999.
The Society was established to develop cultural and educational relations between people of Uzbekistan and Egypt. It is self-governed and non-governmental voluntary-public organization.
One of the key priorities of the society is to develop friendship and cooperation, as well as strengthen cultural-enlightenment relations between Uzbekistan and Egypt.
The society also helps to form objective view about Uzbekistan in Egypt as sovereign, democratic-legal state and active partner with fast-growing economy and huge cultural and scientific potential.
The activities of the society also focus on developing international contacts on humanitarian, scientific-technical, cultural and partnership relations between cities and territories of Uzbekistan and Egypt in cooperation with the government, local administrations and other organizations.

The Society was established to develop cultural and educational relations between people of Uzbekistan and India. It is self-governed and non-governmental voluntary-public organization.
One of the key priorities of the society is to develop friendship and cooperation, as well as strengthen cultural-enlightenment relations between Uzbekistan and India.
The society also helps to form objective view about Uzbekistan in India as sovereign, democratic-legal state and active partner with fast-growing economy and huge cultural and scientific potential.
The activities of the society also focus on developing international contacts on humanitarian, scientific-technical, cultural and partnership relations between cities and territories of Uzbekistan and India in cooperation with the government, local administrations and other organizations.

“Uzbekistan- Indonesia” Friendship Society was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, which issued a certificate from 13 September 2002.
The Society was established to develop cultural and educational relations between people of Uzbekistan and Indonesia. It is self-governed and non-governmental voluntary-public organization.
One of the key priorities of the society is to develop friendship and cooperation, as well as strengthen cultural-enlightenment relations between Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
The society also helps to form objective view about Uzbekistan in Indonesia as sovereign, democratic-legal state and active partner with fast-growing economy and huge cultural and scientific potential.
The activities of the society also focus on developing international contacts on humanitarian, scientific-technical, cultural and partnership relations between cities and territories of Uzbekistan and Indonesia in cooperation with the government, local administrations and other organizations.

Friendship society “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan”
The Friendship Society (FS) “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan” was established and registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 18, 1998, and issued an ID No. 339.On June 12, 2013, the rector of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami Sharifov Shavkat Safarovich was appointed chairman of the society.Main goals. The FS has its goal the organization and development of friendly and cultural-enlightening relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, facilitates the formation in Azerbaijan of a comprehensive and objective view of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a sovereign, democratic and lawful state, an active partner in cultural relations, carries out its activities in accordance with statutory tasks.It carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law on Public Organizations of 15.02.1991 and the Law on NGOs 1999, other laws and regulations acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Company’s Charter.There is a connection with the partner organization “Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan”. Currently, the Chairman of the Society is the deputy of the parliament Eldar Ibrahimov.The events are held in accordance with the Charter and the approved plan of the company. At present, the cultural aspect is of great importance for the expansion and strengthening of cooperation between countries. The events of the society promote familiarization with the cultural traditions and customs of the two peoples.It:
- holding national holidays of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan
- Conducting events on a specific theme of the year;·
- Participation in events held by the Council of Friendship Societies, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tashkent.

In February 2017, the FS “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan” together with the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi held a literary and enlightening conference in honor of the 534th anniversary of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur on the topic “Bori Elga Yashilik Qilgilki.”
In May 2017, the Committee, FS “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan” and “Uzbekistan-Georgia” with the participation of embassy officials jointly held a roundtable on theme “Peace and prosperity of the Motherland – the highest good”.
In September 2017, the Committee, Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan-Georgia together, with the participation of embassy officials, a round table was held on the topic “Interethnic harmony and tolerance – a guarantee of stability”.
In October 2017, a round table was held on the topic “Yaxshi qo’shnichilik, o’zaro hurmat va e’tibor – totuvlikka erishishning muhim sharti” (“Neighborliness, mutual respect and attention – the main pledge of tolerance”).

Friendship society “Uzbekistan-Georgia”
The Friendship Society (FS) “Uzbekistan-Georgia” was established in 1998 and carries out its activities according to the Charter of the society. Registration was held in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, certificate No. 332, which was issued on November 13, 1998.In 2008, A. Abdullayev was elected at the general meeting of the FS “Uzbekistan-Georgia” by election to the post of Chairman, on March 23, 2016 he was re-elected in a regular general meeting for a new term, according to the vote (unanimously) of the members of the society.The new edition of the Charter of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Georgia” was re-registered in the Ministry of Justice on April 25, 2017.Main goals. In this Charter, as the main activity of FS, the development of links in the cultural, enlightening, scientific and educational spheres between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Georgia is indicated.

In May 2017, the Committee, FS “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan” and “Uzbekistan-Georgia” with the participation of embassy officials jointly held a roundtable on “Peace and prosperity of the Motherland – the highest good”.In August 2017, with the participation of staff of the Embassy of Georgia in Uzbekistan the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan was widely celebrated. During the talks issues of further deepening of relations in the cultural and enlightening spheres were discussed.In September 2017, the Committee, FSs Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan-Georgia with the participation of embassy officials, a round table was held on the topic “Interethnic harmony and tolerance – a guarantee of stability”.In October 2017, a round table was held on the theme “Yaxshi qo’shnichilik, o’zaro hurmat va e’tibor – totuvlikka erishishning muhim sharti” (“Neighborliness, mutual respect and attention – the main pledge of tolerance”).

Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan”
The Friendship Society (FS) “Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan” was established on 13.11.1998. According to the results of the last reporting and re-election meeting in May 2017, the chairman of the board of JSC “Uzkimyosanoat” Abdullayev Abdukhashim Abdullayevich was elected chairman of the company.
The composition of the FS included representatives of various levels of the public: scientists, cultural figures, media representatives, entrepreneurs, and others.
Partners in Kazakhstan:
- Uzbek ethno-cultural association of the South Kazakhstan region;
- Ethno-cultural center of Uzbeks in Almaty;
- Association of Ethnic and Cultural Associations of Uzbeks of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Dustlik”.
Given the recent positive trends in the relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Central Asian republics, the presence of real interest in these countries to visit historical and cultural sights of Uzbekistan, as well as the desire of the two peoples in spiritual communication, the establishment of intercultural relations and the improvement of information exchange, is of great importance for expanding and strengthening cooperation between countries. All this creates an atmosphere of trust, mutual understanding and lasting peace. This is also promoted by the activities carried out by the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan FS.
Main goals. In recent years the society has done some work to strengthen friendly relations between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. In particular,
- events dedicated to the state holidays of the republics of the two countries were held;
- national festivals of friendship (competition of akins “Mushoira”, competition of akins “Aityshuv”);
- festive concerts with the participation of singers and choreographic collectives “Zhuldyz”, “Arzlar”;
- exhibitions of Kazakh national applied art.
The most significant events
- On September 23, 2017, at the invitation of Badriddin Nishankulov, a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, chairman of the Uzbek ethno-cultural public association of the South Kazakhstan region, Ikrom Hashimzhonov – chairman of the community of the Uzbek ethno-cultural association “Dustlik” of Kazakhstan, a delegation from the Committee participated in the “Uzbek language, culture, custom”, which was held in Shymkent.
- On May 9 at the Palace of Culture “Kimyogar” (in Fergana city) a solemn commemoration of the Day of Memory and Honor was held, in which veterans of World War II and the labor front, former Afghan warriors, participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident and representatives all nationalities working in the enterprise.
- On May 25, 2017, the FS “Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan” in the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan held a concert on the theme “Millatlararo totuvlik va bag’rikenglik – barqarorlik omili”.
- June 1 this year on the day of protection of children with the Cultural Center of Almalyk, a holiday “On the Waves of Childhood” was held.
- August 30 this year in Fergana in the palace of culture “Kimyogar” was held a celebratory event in honor of Independence Day, with the participation of members of the FS, activists and workers of JSC “Fergana-Azot”.

Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan”
The Friendship Society (FS) “Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan” was established and registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 24, 1996. The Charter of the Company is registered under the number № 262 of June 6, 1997.
According to the results of the constituent assembly of the members of the society, which was held on March 7, 2017, the head of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, People’s Writer of Uzbekistan Ahmedov Muhammad Ali was elected chairman of the FS.
Main goals. Its purpose is to organize and develop friendly and cultural-enlightening relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, to promote the formation in Kyrgyzstan of a comprehensive and objective view of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a sovereign, democratic and legal state, an active partner in the cultural and humanitarian spheres and carries out its activities in accordance with statutory tasks.The Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan” carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 26, 1997 № ВP-1785, the Law on Public Organizations of 15.02.1991 and the Law on NGOs 1999 , other laws and normative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Charter of the company.The events are held in accordance with the Charter and the approved annual plan of the company. Taking into account the recent positive trends in the relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Central Asian republics, establishing the interrelation of cultures, improving the exchange of information, is of great importance for expanding and strengthening cooperation between countries. All this creates an atmosphere of trust, mutual understanding and lasting peace. Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan”
The Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan” was established and registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 27, 1998. The Friendship Society ‘s charter is registered at № 335 of November 14, 1998.Chairman of the FS Inoyatov Ulugbek – Minister of public education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He leads the society since 2013.
Its purpose is to organize and develop friendly and cultural-enlightening relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Promotes the formation in Turkmenistan of a comprehensive and objective view of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a sovereign, democratic and legal state, an active partner in cultural and educational relations.
It carries out its activities in accordance with the statutory tasks. The Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan” was organized to develop cultural and enlightening ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. On May 25, 2017, the FS “Uzbekistan-Turkmaniston” in the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan held a concert on the theme “Millatlararo totuvlik va bag’rikenglik – barqarorlik omili”.
May 18, 2017 members of the FS actively participated in the opening of the bust to the great poet of the Turkmen people Makhtumquli.
May 25-26, 2017 in the park of culture and recreation named after Gafur Gulyam was organized a festival on the theme “Kitob bizni birlashtiradi”. Together with OD, the organizers were the Press and Mass Media Agency of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Public Education, the Republican Children’s Library, the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and the “Yangi asr Avlodi” publishing house.
June 7, 2017 with a report on the life and work of the great poet Makhtumquli was made by the executive director of the society at a round table on the theme “O’zbekiston-Turkmaniston do’stligi azaliy va abadiydir”, which was held at the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Navoi.

The speech was delivered by the chairman of the Ukrainian Cultural Center, the staff of the Committee, the teachers of the Institute.September 29, 2017 at the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry hosted an evening of friendship in honor of the Independence Day of Uzbekistan and Ukraine. Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Pakistan”
The community “Uzbekistan-Pakistan” was created and registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 7, 1990 in Tashkent. Then it was re-registered on September 30,1993 (№147(073). The community is voluntary, autonomic, nongovernmental republican social integration, which was organized to develop cultural-educational relations of Uzbekistan-Pakistan people.
Goals.The community pays attention to informational exchange, creation of advisory funds and data banks of our country, holding conferences, round tables, workshop-trainings, and acquaintanceship of the Pakistan people with achievements of Uzbekistan in cultural sphere, art, science and education, organization of exhibitions, complex arrangements dedicated to the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The community works in close contact with the Committee of international relations and friendship with foreign countries under the Cabinet of Ministers off Republic of Uzbekistan, The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Uzbekistan and TSIOS, academic lyceum under the TSIOS.
Uzbek-Pakistan communities have significance in the development of international affairs. There was an exchange of the delegation of businesspersons, women and writer-poets. Also, there is a cooperation in cultural sphere, the play of E.Vakhidov “Oltindevor” (Golden wall) was translated into Urdu(the interpreter is A.Ibragimov) and performed in Lahore (1996), the writing ofN.Aminov ‘”Birasrhikoyati”‘ (The story of one age) was published in Urdu in Pakistan(1996), the dictionaries of A.Ibragimov “The dictionary of general Urdu-Uzbek words” (1948), T.Khalmirzayev “The Urdu-Uzbek dictionary” (2003) and “Urdu-Russian dictionary” are the issues of literary cooperation.
The cultural aspect acquires great value for extension and consolidation between the countries, nowadays.
Spiritual communication, cultural relationship, improvement of the data exchange all these establish the atmosphere of trust and understanding.
The social activities, directed to the acquaintance with cultural traditions, customs of the two nations, promote:

Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-USA”
“Uzbekistan-USA” friendship society was founded in 1998. The purpose of the society is to develop friendship and cultural-enlightening relations between Uzbekistan and France in education, science, literature and art.
On March 1, 2017 the rector of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navai, professor Sirojiddinov Sh.S was appointed as chairman of the new composition of “Uzbekistan-USA” Friendship Society.
The main tasks of the “Uzbekistan-USA” Friendship Society include:
Scientific and cultural contacts and exchange of international information in cooperation with public organizations;
Carrying out of seminars, symposia, and conferences on creation of informational fund about the Republic of Uzbekistan, considering its cultural and educational issues;
Introducing the achievements of Uzbekistan in art, culture, science and education to American public/society.
Organization of exhibitions and TV shows of national folk arts and crafts of Uzbekistan and the USA.
Strengthening contacts with US citizens living in our country and developing partnerships with fellow citizens living in the United States;
Implementation of projects aimed at attracting foreign investors, strengthening cultural and educational ties with international foundations and social associations.

Over the past period, the Society hosted several cultural and educational events.
In September the month of spirituality was held at the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi.
During this month a quiz was held among the students on the topic “Do you know America?”, where thought provoking questions were asked about American social economy and culture. The students who were actively involved in quiz were awarded. As a result of the study of the opinions of the young, we agreed to implement such projects at a national degree.
On October 22-26, the members of the Friendship Society took part in an international conference “Uzbekistan is at a new upward stage” in New York.

The Friendship Society “Uzbekistan-Vietnam” was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, certificate No. 372 of July 23, 1999 in Tashkent.
The Society carries out its activities on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law on Public Associations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 26.05.1997 No. UP-1785 “On measures to support the Council of Friendship Societies and Cultural and Educational Relations Uzbekistan with foreign countries “.

Friendship society “Uzbekistan – Thailand”
The friendship society “Uzbekistan-Thailand” was founded on the base of “Uzbektourism” in 1999. Date of registration and number of certificate – 09/06/1999 year. Date of registration in the SNI and the INT number – June 9, 1999, No. 368. The society was transferred to the state institute of arts and culture of Uzbekistan In 2014 (Nowadays the new director of state institute of arts and culture of Uzbekistan- I. J. Yuldashev, with protocol of December 5, 2017).
The main statutory tasks of the society are to organize and to develop of friendly and cultural-educational relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Thailand in the field of culture and art and tourism. This society is a voluntary and self-governing non-governmental, non-profit Republican association.
The Company carries out its activities in accordance with the constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the civil code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laws “On Public Associations of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the decree of the president of the republic of Uzbekistan of may 26, 1997, and no. Nowadays more strengthen the friendly relations with the general consul of Thailand in Uzbekistan and direct relationship with the ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The society organizes and conducts conferences, symposiums and various events, the main purpose of which is the creation of information – reference funds and data banks about Uzbekistan, exchange of views on cultural and educational issues, to acquaintance of the thai people with the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, achievements in the field of art, science and education.
The society actively involving scientists and culture workers, veterans, women’s and youth organizations, public activists to participate in the promotion of national culture and the tradition of uzbek and thai peoples.

Friendship society “Uzbekistan-France”
“Uzbekistan-France” friendship society was established in 1998. The aim of the society is development of friendly relationship between Uzbekistan and France in education, science, literature, art and culture areas.
The chairman and new members of “Uzbekistan-France” friendship society were re-elected on May 03, 2017. The rector of National University of Uzbekistan Mr. Marakhimov A. R. was appointed as the chairman of “Uzbekistan-France” friendship society, as a director of “Uzbekistan-France” friendship society was appointed Ms. Shirinova R. Kh.
Functions of “Uzbekistan-France” friendship society:
– Establishment of cultural, educational and friendly relations between two countries;
– Arrangement of scientific and cultural cooperation with public organizations;
– Arrangement of international seminars, symposiums and scientific conferences in Uzbekistan and France;
– Promotion of achievements of foreign countries in culture, arts, science and education in Uzbekistan;
– Strengthening of friendly relations with French citizens living in Uzbekistan, as well as improvement of close cooperation with countrymans living in France;
– Attraction of foreign investors, implementation of public projects, directed to improvement of cultural and educational relationship with international funds and public organizations;

“Uzbekistan-France” friendship society cooperates with all public friendly organizations in country, as well as with French Alliance in Tashkent, Ambassy of France in France, University of Ruana (France), International association on Language and Cultural Affairs, Union of Writers of Uzbekistan.
International events:
– Members of society participated in “Language and culture” festival in France on April, 2017.
– Round table with the subject of “Role of public diplomacy in development of relations between Uzbek-French frienship” with participation of international experts and youth of Uzbekistan was held in the Ambassy of Uzbekistan in Paris.
– National University of Uzbekistan together with Uzbek state university of foreign languages, Tashkent state Law institute and French Alliance signed contract with University of Ruana in France on April 03, 2018. Currently the lecturer, Ms. Clemantin Gilliard delivers lectures in these universities.
Events in Republic:
– Conference devoted to “Remembrance and Honor Day” was held on April 03, 2017;
– The exhibition of “Amir Temur’s Kingdom” book written by French author, Lucein Keren was hosted on June 05, 2017;
– “Fidoying bo’lgaymiz seni, O’zbekiston” event dedicated to 26 years of Independance of Republic of Uzbekistan was conducted on September 04, 2017;
– “Language is mirror of nation” spiritual and educational event dedicated to National Language Day of Republic of Uzbekistan took place on October 21, 2017.
