Russian cultural center of Uzbekistan

The Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan, created in 1994, plays an important role in the careful preservation of the spiritual values of Russian culture, language, traditions, customs, and the development of friendship and cooperation on this basis.<img src="https://web.interkomitet.uz/uploads/culture-center-info/65cf1379ec07a.png" alt="65cf1379ec07a.png" /> All 20 divisions within the center - in all regions and many cities of the country - work in such areas as social, educational and cultural activities, mass cultural, methodological work, legal assistance, spiritual and moral education.The public organization, whose doors are open to everyone, hosts Days of Slavic Literature and Culture, numerous republican scientific and practical conferences and seminars on the interpenetration of national cultures, the contribution of Russian scientists, poets, writers, artists to the development of the region, Russian-Uzbek relations in in the context of a centuries-old retrospective. Scientific collections are published based on conference materials.International “Vinogradov Readings” are held with the participation of the activists. The center initiated meetings at the monuments to Alexander Pushkin, Yuri Gagarin, and Konstantin Tsiolkovsky.Competitions and festivals are widely popular, including “Play, Harmony!”, “Ring, Golden Rus'!”, “Choral Marathon”, evenings of Russian-Uzbek friendship, and the “Decade of Good Deeds” reflects the centuries-old tradition of the people - mercy and charity. The “Young Shift” division of the center annually organizes the Pushkin Ball and many other themed evenings.For many years, the center has operated the “Veteran” choir, the “Melody” choir, a historical club, creative associations: “Solo”, “Meeting with Spiritual Heritage”, the “Silver Age” literary lounge, art song clubs “Orpheus”, “Danko” ", "Literary and Spiritual Heritage", youth literary and musical salon, Center for Russian Language and Literature, Anna Akhmatova's club-museum "Mangalochiy Yard".In implementing its numerous projects, the center relies on the support of state and public organizations of Uzbekistan, including the Uzbekistan-Russia Friendship Society, the Academic Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent State Theater of Musical Comedy, the Sergei Yesenin Museum, the Tashkent and Uzbekistan Diocese of the Central Asian Metropolitan District.Being a bridge of friendship between the two countries, the center works closely with the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan.Representatives of different nationalities actively participate in the work of the center. This suggests that the center’s activities are successful and in demand by the country’s multinational community.
