Geneva hosts the 128th Session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC). Uzbekistan delegation led by First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Director of National Center for Human Rights Akmal Saidov attends the event.
According to Uzbekistan’s Permanent Mission to the UN Office in Geneva, the delegation presented the fifth periodic report of Uzbekistan on implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
The head of the delegation A. Saidov provided detailed information about main directions and achievements in implementing provisions of the Covenant in Uzbekistan.
The delegation also held a meeting with the UN Human Rights Council Rapporteur Andreas Zimmermann.
